Beethoven Symphony No. 3 ‘Eroica’
Once upon a time, there was a composer named Ludwig van Beethoven who loved music more than anything. He wanted to write a symphony about a hero, someone brave, bold, and full of adventure. So he created his famous Eroica Symphony, filled with powerful sounds, surprising twists, and exciting “conversations” between instruments.
But Beethoven faced a challenge, he was beginning to lose his hearing. Even so, he didn’t give up. He kept imagining music in his mind and wrote some of the greatest pieces ever!
In this relaxed and Autism-friendly Symphony Shorts family concert, guided by presenter and storyteller Jessie Grimes, children will explore this heroic music with National Symphony Orchestra Ireland, led by Alexander Shelley; a fun, inspiring adventure for the whole family.
Arrive from 11.30am for free, pre-concert fun activities, designed to engage children and spark their imagination before the concert begins.
