Celebrate Beethoven’s 200th anniversary with National Symphony Orchestra Ireland as Gramophone Award-winner and one of the most sought after artists of his generation, British pianist Benjamin Grosvenor, returns to Dublin to perform Beethoven’s iconic ‘Emperor’ Concerto. Written during a turbulent period in Beethoven’s life, the masterpiece which embodies heroism and resilience will be brough to life by Grosvenor whose playing has been praised by The Times for its “poise and brilliance”. 
 
The programme also features Beethoven’s First Symphony, his early triumph of form and creativity, alongside the monumental Grosse Fugue arranged for string orchestra; a work of staggering complexity and intensity.

Under Sasha Scolnik-Brower’s direction, this concert offers a thrilling journey through some of Beethoven’s much-loved works, and a celebration of one of the greatest composers in history.
