Ballyjamesduff: The Percy French story pays homage to the exquisite talent of one of Ireland’s greatest artists, and his incredible contribution to Irish culture. 

Percy French, Roscommon songwriter, poet, painter, entertainer, and author travelled the length and breadth of Ireland, capturing the quintessence of the characters he encountered along the way in poetry, song and story. 
A gifted and prolific writer of comic songs, he was also capable of wringing heartfelt emotion from moments like Gortnamona and The Emigrants letter. His observations were always laced with humanity and empathy for his songs were inspired by the real-life people he met along the way.

The Singalong Songbook team sprinkle their trademark magic over his story and bring to life some of his most iconic songs. As always, they invite the audience to sing along with them.
