Free Outdoor Lunchtime Concerts by Gemma Hayes, The Bonny Men, Morgana and more Announced for Wilton Park, Dublin 2 This June by National Concert Hall

This June, swap your desk lunch for live music in the sunshine as the National Concert Hall brings a series of free outdoor concerts by musicians Gemma Hayes, The Bonny Men, Morgana and more to the beautiful surrounds of Wilton Park on Dublin’s Grand Canal, every Thursday from the 4th to the 25th of June.

Part of the National Concert Hall’s Festival of Voice, the Wilton Park Series, supported by IPUT Real Estate Dublin, invites city workers, locals and music lovers alike to take a break from the everyday and experience something completely different during their lunchtime, taking advantage of free open concerts every Thursday.

Set in the heart of a stunning one-acre riverside park, the four free Thursday concerts promise an uplifting mix of contemporary folk, indie, trad and choral music in a relaxed open-air setting by well-known musicians.

Niall Gaffney, IPUT Real Estate Dublin Chief Executive commented: “We are proud to support NCH’s Wilton Park Summer Series and to see this public space come alive with music and culture once again this summer. At IPUT, we believe great places should create opportunities for people to connect, unwind and enjoy shared experiences, and these free lunchtime concerts are a wonderful example of that. Wilton Park was designed as an inclusive destination, and we’re delighted to partner with the National Concert Hall to bring such an exciting and diverse programme of Irish talent to Dublin audiences.”

The series begins on Thursday 4 June with a vibrant performance from three outstanding traditional Irish musicians, fiddler Andrew Caden, flautist Conor McDonagh and accordion player Ryan Sheridan, bringing the rich musical spirit of Sligo to the city centre.

On Thursday 11 June, acclaimed folk collective The Bonny Men take over Wilton Park with their energetic, boundary-pushing take on traditional Irish music. Known for their electrifying live performances and multiple RTÉ Folk Award nominations, the group promise a set full of rhythm, energy and atmosphere.

Thursday 18 June sees contemporary choir The Theodora Byrne Ensemble joined by special guest Morgana (of Saint Sister). Fresh from performances in Brazil, Paris Fashion Week and appearances with CMAT and Dermot Kennedy, Morgana brings her distinctive indie-pop sound to an unforgettable lunchtime performance alongside one of Ireland’s most exciting vocal collectives.

The series closes on Thursday 25 June with a very special performance from The Theodora Byrne Ensemble and acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter Gemma Hayes. One of Ireland’s most celebrated musical voices, Hayes is known for her emotionally rich songs blending folk, alternative rock and cinematic soundscapes.

Whether you’re discovering a new artist, catching up with friends over coffee, or simply looking for a reason to step outside for an hour, the Wilton Park Series offers the perfect midweek reset. All concerts are free and begin at 1pm, making them the perfect opportunity to enjoy live music in a relaxed outdoor setting.
