Through our masterclass programme, we offer music students the opportunity to work with some of the world’s best performers and access to some of the world’s best orchestras, choirs, singers, and instrumentalists.

Under the guidance of expert workshop leader The Sixteen’s associate conductor Eamonn Dougan, the workshop includes advice on vocal technique (breathing technique, invigorating warm-ups, voice production) as well as performance interpretation and historical context.

Summer Piano Master Classes with Thérèse Fahy
We invite advanced piano students of any age to apply for our summer piano master classes with Prof. Thérèse Fahy.
Applicants should submit a one-page resumé detailing age, music education, examinations taken, competition successes, prizes won, and recently performed repertoire.
All resumés must include full contact details including applicants’ email and phone (guardians contact details where under 18) and specify whether a 1 hour or 40-minute session is requested.
Resumés should be emailed to education@nch.ie no later than Monday 2nd June at 5pm.
Fees:
€75 for 1 hour individual tuition and observation of all sessions
€55 for 40 minutes individual tuition and observation of all sessions
Observer day ticket €8 / €5 students
Online Master Classes Archive
In 2020, we launched a series of online masterclasses, taught by some of Ireland's finest musicians. Each masterclass was live-streamed on the National Concert Hall’s YouTube and Facebook channels, giving aspiring musicians access to tuition and further development.

NCH International Master Course 2025
Monday 28 July - Saturday 2nd August 2025 APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN! Deadline Sunday, 27th April 2025 This intensive summer school provides national and international musicians with the opportunity to take part in a series of masterclasses and seminars by world-renowned musicians. Over the duration of the course, participants will receive one-on-one masterclasses, chamber music coaching with new ensembles and performance opportunities.
