We offer our NCH Friends an exclusive programme of social, music and cultural events throughout the year. Bookings can be made through our dedicated Friends office. Please contact the Friends office on 01 408 6777 or email friends@nch.ie
Monthly Coffee Mornings
On the first Wednesday of each month, Friends are invited to the Iveagh Room of the Terrace Café to meet with fellow Friends. This is an opportunity to meet and chat, and find out about upcoming Friends and NCH activities.

Music Club
Six Tuesdays, beginning 23 September, 11am -12.30pm, Iveagh Room, Terrace Café.
Music Club led by Professor Gerard Gillen, discusses repertoire featured in upcoming NCH concerts. Different pieces are explored every week, and each session takes place in the Iveagh Room of the Terrace Café. Complimentary beverage included.
Friends €120 for six sessions.
Friends immersive visit to the Book of Kells and tour, with lunch in Hugos Restaurant
Wednesday 24 September, 11am (Meet at the Long Hall entrance, Trinity College, Dublin 2)
Join us for a private tour of the immersive Book of Kells experience and witness living history through modern technology. This fascinating visit is followed by a two course lunch with a glass of wine or soft drink in Hugos restaurant in Merrion Row.

NCH Friends Gala
Friday 3 October, 5pm (Meet on NCH balcony for reception at 6pm)
A Friends gala night to relish as Maria Duenas performs Beethoven's Violin Concerto and selections from Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet alongside the NSOI. Friends receive a 30% discount on concert tickets with complimentary wine and canape reception (please identify yourself as a Friend when booking concert tickets). The reception takes place at 6pm, concert at 7.30pm.
Friends international trip to Dresden and Leipzig
Tuesday 14 - Sunday 19 October
The Friends Autumn trip this year takes in two of Germany's most cultural destinations. Dresden and Leipzig stand out as centres of art and music with some of the world's finest composers coming from this part of the world. Enjoy the Picture Gallery of Dresden, the Bach Museum of Leipzig, Moritzburg Castle and much more.
This tour is fully booked, waiting list only.
Visit to Photo Museum Ireland
Thursday 23 October, 3pm, Photo Museum Ireland, Temple Bar
This behind the scenes experience offers a deeper look at how Photo Museum Ireland works. Step inside the Darkroom and Artist Digital Studio, enjoy a curator led tour of a major exhibition by Steve Pyke showcasing portraits of Ireland's leading writers and gather in the Lightroom for tea, coffee and conversation.
Complimentary to Friends, this is a Friends only event.
Day trip to Wexford Festival Opera
Sunday 26 0ctober, 11.30am NCH Foyer
Join us as we visit the Wexford Opera Festival for what is always a great day out. This year we shall be attending Handel's masterpiece, Deidamia, where we travel to ancient Greece. Achilles, seeking to avoid the Trojan war is hidden on the isle of Skyros where he falls in love with Princess Deidamia, but Ulyssess is soon on his trail to bring him back, and he must choose between love and destiny. Prior to the performance, enjoy a four course lunch with a glass of wine or soft drink in the fabulous Clayton White Hotel, where we will be returning after the performance for supper.

Film Screening at Brooks Hotel - Scrooge

The spirit of Christmas becomes a musical celebration of life in this rousing adaptation of Charles Dickens beloved classic, A Christmas Carol. Albert Finney stars as the irredeemable miser in this yuletide tale. Before the screening, enjoy canapes and a glass of wine or soft drink before you pick up your popcorn for a night at the movies!

Friends Christmas gathering
Thursday 11 December, 4pm, The Kevin Barry Room, NCH
The annual Friends Christmas get-together features a wonderful choir, St. Cecilia's Singers, who will be performing fabulous seasonal Christmas fare. So get into the Christmas spirit, with a festive wine reception, there's no nicer way to meet up with fellow Friends ahead of Christmas!
