Experience the dramatic power and emotional depth of operatic masterpieces in this captivating concert, featuring the exceptional talents of soprano Sinéad Campbell Wallace, tenor Ryan Capozzo and baritone Yngve Søberg, conducted by the dynamic Keri-Lynn Wilson.
A glorious journey through the operatic landscapes of Verdi and Wagner, beginning with the electrifying Overture to La forza del destino and continuing with unforgettable arias from Il trovatore, Macbeth, and Don Carlo. Verdi's music swells with passion and tragedy, as characters face fates that seem inescapable, from the heart-wrenching La vita è inferno all'infelice to the emotional despair of Tu, che le vanità.
Wagner’s monumental works are also featured, including Tannhäuser’s stirring “Dich, teure Halle” and the haunting “Wie Todesahnung” plus the psychologically intense “Wahn! Wahn! Überall Wahn!” from Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg. The evening culminates with the heroic “Ein Schwert verhiess mir der Vater” from Die Walküre, filled with Wagner’s signature grandeur.
