Our festival of new traditional and folk music explores connections between the visual and music.

Celebrated young painter Conor Campbell in conversation with Diarmuid Mac Gloinn (Ye Vagabonds) with performances from Alannah Thornburgh, Junior Brother and Gareth Quinn Redmond.

Limerick-born painter, Conor Campbell is a colour-blind artist who has quickly become one of the most recognisable names among the Irish art and music scene over the past few years.

With a background in architecture, Conor’s work varies from impressionist dreamscapes to surreal studies of mythology and nature. With style and sensibility deeply rooted in Irish folklore. Conor’s work has become a cornerstone of Irish contemporary folk music, with artists such as The Chieftains, Ye Vagabonds, Junior Brother, Harry Fennell, Alannah Thornburgh, ALFI, Lemoncello and many more commissioning Conor’s work for their album art, of which, tens of thousands of copies have been sold.
