Join the RTÉ Concert Orchestra for a lunchtime of Baroque music with a breath of fresh air, directed by RTÉ CO leader Mia Cooper.

Be beguiled by an enchanting lunchtime concert celebrating the brilliance and beauty of the Baroque era – from the triumphant Prelude to Te Deum by Charpentier to the luminous serenity of Albinoni’s Adagio.

The spotlight shines on Laoise O’Brien who brings virtuosic charm to two rare gems: Graupner, Recorder Concerto and Dieupart, Concerto in A Minor for Flautino. O’Brien is a musician (recorder, previously flute) with a lifetime of performing experience, and an esteemed recording producer, having produced RTÉ Concert Orchestra material for both Radio 1 and RTÉ lyric fm.

This RTÉ CO Summer Lunchtime programme also features the ethereal Dance of the Blessed Spirits by Gluck and the rousing Music for the Royal Fireworks by Handel, breathing new energy into beloved Baroque favourites.
