'Dream Big' Live in Concert

National Symphony Orchestra Ireland
David Brophy, conductor

Following its sell-out appearance with National Symphony Orchestra Ireland at the National Concert Hall  in 2024, Soda Blonde – ‘among Ireland’s most compelling new bands’ (GoldenPlec) – returns with its second studio album, Dream Big, ‘intense, dramatic stuff [with] a high degree of sophistication’ (RTÉ.)

Re-imagined on a grand scale in Gavin Murphy’s sweeping orchestral arrangements, Dream Big’s melting-pot of influences from alt- and synth-pop to grim protest song, its epic title track and various surprising points in-between was hailed by The Irish Times as ‘altogether bolder, more forthright and more experimental’. The band – singer-songwriter Faye O'Rourke, guitarist Adam O'Regan, bassist Donagh Seaver O’Leary, and drummer Dylan Lynch – describe it as ‘the most fun, cathartic and meaningful experience we’ve had’.

David Brophy, whose collaborations include The Chieftains, U2 and Sinéad O’Connor, conducts.
