Internationally celebrated English guitarist Paul Gregory gave his Wigmore Hall London debut at 19 to high critical acclaim and three years later he won the Andres Segovia International Competition in Spain. He has performed in most parts of the world including Europe, the Americas and Hong Kong and his recent schedule has included recitals for the Nantes Conservatoire and Picardie Festival in France; Music Siena in Italy and at the Royal College of Music in Cardiff. He has broadcast regularly on BBC Radio 3 and has released CD recordings for Opus 1, Meridian and Claudio record labels. Paul has been a visiting tutor to the RIAM in Dublin and Chief External Examiner for the Royal Scottish Conservatoire.
Simon Taylor is from Dublin. Before embarking on a career in music management he performed extensively in Ireland and in the UK, Spain, France, Iceland and the USA, broadcast on RTE
and recorded discs of Irish, Spanish and South American music. In his subsequent career Simon Taylor was Head of Orchestras at RTE; Senior Producer, Classical Music for BBC Northern Ireland; CEO of Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and CEO of the National Concert Hall. Since retiring from the National Concert Hall Simon has enjoyed returning to his musical roots as a classical guitarist (with recent recitals in Ireland and Malaga) and being a board member of a number of music organisations.
Paul and Simon’s concert tour in Ireland and the UK in April/May marks over four decades of friendship and their joint 70th birthday (almost to the day) in January 2026.
