Stewart Agnew and James Mackin
Joint Album Launch
The National Concert Hall is set to host a unique and exciting event, a joint album launch featuring two distinct artists, each bringing their individual creative works to the stage. This collaborative showcase promises to be an extraordinary celebration of diverse musical talents and artistic expressions.
Experience the triumphant return of Stewart Agnew, Ireland's distinguished singer-songwriter, as he emerges from musical exile with the release of his fourth album, "Into the Black Hills", which this show celebrates. Produced with Phil Wilkinson, this beautiful twelve-track long play includes a special guest appearance by Duke Special on "Rain Down Diamonds" track, and is officially released on Friday May 10th but will also be available on the night of the show. This "Into the Black Hills" live concert will feature a six-piece band with special guest Zoë Conway.
"Human Condition," the debut solo album by drummer/composer James Mackin draws on a diverse career as a session musician and composer. The album, a product of his residency at An Táin Theatre, blends electronic, cinematic, and rock influences with improvisation.
The launch night promises a dynamic live performance with a full band featuring Irish-Nigerian artist and activist Osaro Azams and special guests, showcasing Mackin's musical journey and collaborations across genres.
Join us for a night of immersive soundscapes and the evolution of two versatile artists.
