Now to end the year-long celebrations, they are coming back to Ireland to present a one-night-only concert here at the National Concert Hall which will bring together exceptional Irish and International artists under the aegis of timeless music, in a programme featuring Ludwig van Beethoven’s 5th Symphony N. 5 in C minor Op.67 and Gioachino Rossini’s Stabat Mater in four voices for choir and orchestra.
Acclaimed Music Director of the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Michele Mariotti will conduct the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and New Dublin Voices Chorus for this very special evening.
Artists will include tenor Konu Kim winner of Placido Domingo’s Operalia competition, who made his debut with Glyndebourne Festival in 2021 as Ferrando Cosi fan Tutte; much loved Irish soprano Celine Byrne who has performed with world-renowned tenors José Carreras, Roberto Alagna and Joseph Calleja; acclaimed Irish mezzo soprano Tara Erraught whose 2021/22 season begins with the title role in Iphigénie en Tauride at the Opéra de Paris and one of Ireland’s leading basses on stage and in concert, John Molloy.
