Spring Summer Variations
This Spring/Summer the National Concert Hall and Ireland’s leading classical ensembles and musicians come together to perform six new uplifting concerts to be broadcast as part of the 'Spring Summer Variations’ Series starting Thursday 15th April and running every two weeks until 24th June.
Intended to provide musical solace and inspiration, the series offers audiences the best in classical music with a variety of works to enjoy from Bach Cantatas to Mozart Piano Concertos, popular Opera Arias as well as more contemporary works by Argentinian master Astor Piazzolla (this year marks 100 years of Piazzolla’s birth), world renowned composer Philip Glass, Irish symphonist John Kinsella, and a world premiere by Irish composer Paul Frost.
The NCH Spring Summer Variations series is presented in collaboration with the Irish Chamber Orchestra, National String Quartet Foundation, Camerata Ireland, Irish Baroque Orchestra and The Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.
