Raise Our Voices

Tuesday 5th & Wednesday 6th October 2021

The singing voices of Ireland of every genre have been silenced for the past 18 months. Ireland’s singers of every generation are known the world over for their individuality, expressiveness and beauty of sound. It is time that these were heard again.

Leading the way in giving voice back to our classical singers, the NCH has invited internationally acclaimed mezzo soprano, Tara Erraught to lead two special concerts.

On Tuesday October 5th, working with her pianist colleague, Dearbhla Collins, Tara will work with new young talents in advance of a showcase concert.

On the second evening, Tara will convene a gathering of some of our most cherished professional singers for a one-off concert of the voices we have all missed hearing.

As we emerge from the Covid-19 Pandemic, NCH and Ireland’s leading ensembles and soloists come together to create a collaboratively developed season exploring themes of healing, recovery and change.
