Programme includes Schubert songs with contemporaneous arrangements for guitar accompaniment

It was common in Schubert’s time to allow publishing houses to make guitar arrangements of vocal accompaniments and there is sound documentation that the guitar was frequently used to accompany Schubert’s part-songs and Lieder in his presence. In addition, Schubert is known to have played the guitar and owned
two instruments, one by the famous Viennese luthier J.G. Stauffer.

Milan Siljanov is currently in the ensemble of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. He was the winner of the prestigious Wigmore Hall/Kohn Foundation International Song Competition in London in 2015.

International Dublin-born soprano, Anna Devin sings regularly at the worlds leading opera houses including Covent Garden, Opernhaus Zurich, Glyndebourne Festival and Teatro Real Madrid. She is known for her ‘impeccable baroque’ style in her interpretation of Handel’s many leading ladies.
