The exhilarating Chineke! Founded in 2015 by the pioneering double bass player, Chi-chi Nwanoku OBE, Chineke!’s is about ‘championing change and celebrating diversity in classical music’.

Since making its BBC Proms début at the Royal Albert Hall in 2017, Chineke! Orchestra has gone on to perform at leading venues and festivals across the UK and Europe.

In this, their welcome Irish début at the National Concert Hall, these true catalysts for change continue their mission to amplify the compositional voices of Black composers offering Irish audiences an important and special opportunity to enjoy a rich tapestry of works by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, George Walker and Florence Price performed alongside a pillar of the symphonic repertoire, Antonín Dvořák’s much-loved “New World” Symphony.
