‘Awe-inspiring and infinitely moving’ Strad Magazine

As part of a three year residency at the National Concert Hall, the renowned Vanbrugh Quartet will perform a series of Sunday concerts on the 11th, 18th and 25th of October at 3pm.

Featuring a wonderful programme of Mozart and Brahms, these concerts will take place in the atmospheric setting of the University Church, St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin.

The Vanbrugh Quartet - Gregory Ellis, Keith Pascoe, Simon Aspell and Christopher Marwood - has dedicated itself to bringing string quartet music to audiences throughout Ireland. In 1996 the Quartet founded the West Cork Chamber Music Festival and it has consistently championed the work of Irish composers in concerts and broadcasts in Ireland and abroad.

Mozart and Brahms are two composers who complement each other as fine wine complements fine food” says Keith Pascoe of the Quartet. “Our guest artists have been our musical friends for a long time and share a love for performing. Enjoying such fine fare with friends; it doesn't get better.”

The Quartet’s residency with the National Concert Hall is supported by DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama. They will be joined in this series by guest musicians Cian Ó Dúill, Paul Roe, Joachim Roewer and William Butt.

Tickets are €15 and are on sale from the National Concert Hall Box Office, telephone: 01-417 00 00 or visit www.nch.ie
