International Concert Series 2015/2016
The National Concert Hall’s Nordic-themed '15/'16 International Concert Series continues with the Basel Symphony Orchestra (29 Sept), Swedish Chamber Orchestra (5 Nov),The Sixteen (10 Oct) Norwegian pianist Leif Ove Andsnes (29 Oct), Danish violinist Nikolaj Znaider (25 Nov), and the first concert in Ireland by the renowned Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra in an all-Sibelius programme (12 December). Perspectives continues with Blood & The Moon: A Provocation on Yeats (13/14 Sept.). Curated by Thomas Bartlett and Paul Muldoon, both concerts see Mercury Prize nominee Anna Calvi, folk icon Sam Amidon, Robert Forster of The Go-Betweens, and NYC cabaret icon Justin Vivian Bond and more unique musical interpretations of Yeats’ poetry.
