Staying true to 18th-century performance practice, the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra employs authentic period instruments for their upcoming concert of Mozart's great works at the National Concert Hall, on Monday 29 February.

Joining the orchestra is the great German baritone Christian Gerhaher, equally renowned in opera and as one of the finest Lieder singers in the world today. He makes his National Concert Hall debut in this special performance which sees the orchestra alternate arias with symphonic works in a unique concert format of Mozart’s music.

The Gramophone Award-winning orchestra will be led by director Gottfried von der Goltz and will be joined by renowned clarinettist Lorenzo Coppola for Mozart’s Concerto in A major for Clarinet and Orchestra K. 622.
Fans of Mozart’s operas will certainly delight in this programme which offers arias from well-known operas Don Giovanni, Cosí fan tutte and Le nozze di Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro).

The orchestra have also committed to a Chamber Music Ensemble Coaching Session with Gottfried von der Goltz on Monday 29th February at 10.30am and a Clarinet Master-Class with Lorenzo Coppola also on Monday 29th at 10.30am in which Coppola will work with advanced students and emerging professional clarinettists, focusing on music from the Baroque and early Classical periods.
