John Banville, Anne Enright, Colm Tóibín, Eavan Boland, Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill, John Montague, Marina Carr, Kevin Barry and Paul Muldoon.

A celebration of the country’s literary heritage, its present and its future, with some of Ireland’s greatest living writers and poets.

Anne Enright is the inaugural Laureate for Irish Fiction. One of our most acclaimed novelists, John Banville’s books include The Book of Evidence and The Blue Guitar. Colm Tóibín’s Brooklyn has just been adapted for the big screen. Poets Eavan Boland, Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill, Paul Muldoon and the venerable John Montague echo the poetic imagination mentioned in the Proclamation. Lauded playwright Marina Carr and the winner of the 2015 Goldsmiths Prize, Kevin Barry, complete a gathering of some of our most significant literary figures at work today.
